Artisan & Designer
Since 1971, I studied with Leonard Katz, silversmith/jeweler; Bette Yozell, stained glass artist; Shirley Willett, fashion designer, various shoe and sandal makers, a Japanese sumi-e painter, a Swiss doll maker, ceramic and clothing and textile professors at FTU, weavers at the Boston Weaver’s Guild and Malcolm Summers, bookbinder. For over 18 years I worked for Dover Saddlery making custom riding chaps and doing repairs, showed extensively in the New England area, been past member of the Clever Hand (Sudbury), Craftworks (Northboro), Weston Arts and Crafts Association and Milford Art Association. The Leathercrafter’s Journal published a handful of my leather articles and I have received past awards for my leatherwork, weaving, jewelry and sumi-e painting. Self taught in papermaking and marbling, I concentrate in bookbinding, marbling and card making.
My husband and I own and operate Old Working Books & Bindery Est. 1994. Our stock of used, rare and scarce books & ephemera in over 90 categories is available online at abebooks.com and biblio.com. We are members SNEAB, Southern New England Antiquarian Booksellers.
